Hygge: One of the fundamental aspects of Danish culture is "hygge", which, although translated as "coziness" is more akin to "tranquility". Hygge is a complete absence of anything annoying, irritating, or emotionally overwhelming, and the presence of and pleasure from comforting, gentle, and soothing things.
So I've been doing a bit of research over the past couple months on what it is exactly I want to do for the summer. I've grown overly irritated by the northeastern lifestlyle, although wonderful at points, definitely has it's downside.
I've narrowed it down to a few different things. 1) Work at one of many ski resorts in NZ. Essentially get a full winter of shredding here then go straight there to start basically a second seaon. 2) Work with Hamish Baxter fishing in Finland http://http://www.visitfinland.com/en/web/guest/fishing/home 3) Take business classes at http://www.au.dk/en Aarus U, and find a part time job.
Hmm which to choose? the feeling of hygge is one I could use.
